Department Details
Come join the largest long term care facility in the state of South Dakota! We offer multiple services from general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and memory care unit at the facility.
This position will also include some light maintenance work as well. Primary job duties will be painting.
On call rotation every six (6) weeks in Maintenance Department.

Job Summary
Responsible for painting according to location standards and procedures, while ensuring projects are completed in a safe and professional manner. Completes necessary painting as assigned, and assures painted areas have uniform paint coverage and matching colors. Verifies walls are free of holes and restored to original appearance. Assures walls, doors and door frames are free of dirt and scuffed areas. Assures ceilings are free of chips, peels and cracks. Completes necessary documentation as appropriate. Utilizes appropriate communication techniques to explain procedure to necessary individuals before and during painting process. Keep chemicals secured in locked area. Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use and equipment. Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following appropriate cleaning techniques.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
Trade school, vocational school or apprenticeship in painting filed preferred.
When applicable, current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
