Department Details

This Administrative Assistant position will primarily assist with the short term disability process for patients having surgery in the Foot and Ankle Clinic as a Disability Specialist. This position involves coordinating patients' time off of work for surgery and ensuring all paperwork is submitted.

Duties will include:

  • communicating with patients regarding short term disability or FMLA

  • submitting forms to insurance companies,

  • communicating with providers regarding return to work dates and potential restrictions

  • additional tasks assigned, such as assisting with clinic schedules

Our clinic has 5 Foot & Ankle Surgeons and 1 Nurse Practitioner. We have great teamwork in our clinic and work closely with the providers who support the work we do. We have a fun and positive environment and provide flexibility in our schedules for a healthy work-life balance.

Job Summary

Providing administrative support and coordination of activities for specific teams of people. May include but not limited to answering telephone, taking messages and answering routine questions. Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, presentations, billing, reimbursement, or monthly reports. Maintaining vacation schedule and managing schedules for the department. Order and dispense supplies. May perform payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information, processing and submitting to payroll. May maintain master copies of company policy and procedure manuals; keeping them up-to-date.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Applicable experience preferred.

Based on facility needs, may require a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
