Job Summary

The 340B Specialist assists with the coordination of the pharmacy 340(b) Drug Pricing Program for covered entities and contract pharmacies within their respective service areas. Such coordination includes assuring the program is fully implemented in all areas of qualified use; related records are complete and accurate; and that it meets all primary objectives as defined by leadership.

Four primary objectives or goals of the 340(b) program include:

1) Monitors and audits covered entity(s) and contract pharmacy(s)to assure that the respective covered entities and contract pharmacies maintain full compliance with the applicable 340(b) program regulations and related interpretations for the program.

2) Assists 340(b) Lead Specialist with implementation of new 340(b) opportunities within the program in accordance with federal regulations and related interpretations of the program.

3) Collaborates with 340(b) team members across the enterprise to assure the covered entities are achieving maximum utilization of 340(b) pricing.

4) Collaborating with 340(b) team members across the enterprise to assure that all policies, procedures, and related approaches to 340(b) include the most efficient use of resources, and other costs of managing, monitoring, and fully participating in the program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, auditing or other business related field preferred.

Previous pharmacy experience is preferred. Experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or other business-related field is desired. Strong communication skills and information technology systems experience desirable.
